The Pattaya Marathon 2019

Come 21st July, Thailand’s charming beachside city will unveil the long-awaited Pattaya Marathon to runners from all walks of life all over the world. Join thousands of participants for a most rewarding run on one of the most beautiful marathon routes through the stunning east coasts of Thailand.

Beginning on the golden sands of Central Festival Pattaya Beach, you’ll be cutting a path along Pattaya’s shoreline, passing some of her iconic landmarks including Pattaya City Hall and Walking Street and crossing the hilly, rocky terrains of the great highlands.

There is nothing quite as refreshing as the rhythm of your pounding feet as you drink in the sights and sounds of novel, unfamiliar surroundings. This scenic route is one that will take your breath away, quite literally.

Be prepared for sweltering heat punctuated with rainy showers characteristic of Pattaya’s fickle climate, which will make for an eventful experience! As the event begins before dawn, it affords the surreality of watching the dark sky come awash with the first rays of dawn.

While the entire Pattaya Marathon course clocks a challenging 42km, the event offers more manageable distances as well including the 3.5km, 10km and 21km races. As one of the most inclusive marathons in Thailand, it welcomes wheelchair users to join in the fun as well at the 42km wheelchair marathon – a true celebration of the inclusive spirit of sports.
